Chamundeshwari HWCS

The ilkal cooperative society of Shri Chamundeshwari Kaimagga Nekar Sahakar Sangh Niyamit was started in 2004. This cooperative society was inspired by Sri Shakambari Weavers cooperative society which has been around for over 200 years. The society has functional committee members which include a working group of over 160 artisans and 45 handloom weaves. The society is constantly involved in developmental training and projects conducted by the government. They have been recognised and felicitated with awards for their contribution to the livelihood of weavers in the Ilkal cluster of Bagalkot.
