GCART® is a social enterprise established in 2017 by Mrs. Renuka Pal to revive and popularize hand loom products of West Bengal, India. The revival efforts have been especially around the craft of hand batik, also known as wax craft. The Green Cart - GCART® is registered with Silk Mark Organization of India having Membership Number: SMOI/4159 and with Textiles Committee, Ministry of Textiles Handloom Mark Registration Number: HLM / KOL-90-40020. GCART® is a member of All India Artisans and Craftworkers Welfare Association (AIACA) and practices fair trade.
