Sasha
Sasha is a Kolkata based, Fair Trade Organisation registered in 1987. It is built on principles of equity, transparency, social justice and environmental concerns. The organisation works with disadvantaged women and marginalized producers & artisans from rural and semi-urban pockets of North-East India, West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar and some other states.
Being a not-for-profit organisation, Sasha, is a decentralized network of organizations, built on complementary competencies with a collective mission to strengthen, support and expand market opportunities for artisans. The organisation also focuses on capacity building, technical assistance, design and product development along with the social developmental needs of the producer groups. Their product lines cover a wide range of crafts and processes including handcrafted home textiles, sarees and stoles.
