Description :
Black and maroon handwoven sambalpuri cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern on the saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of poetry on the loom. The saree has beautiful peacock motif all over the body and the pallu, with rudraksha dobby border.
