Yarn Glory

Yarn Glory is an eponymous brand of designer entrepreneur Anannya Sharma started in 2004, to create and enhance the socio-economic conditions of handloom weavers of different ethnic communities in North Eastern India while preserving the rich heritage of artistic weaving. Using Eri silk as the primary yarn, a range of diversified handwoven fabrics is created with a blend of traditional and contemporary designs and colours. Currently she is working with 30 handloom weavers, mostly women, from tribal and non -tribal remote areas of Assam. The focus is on enhancing their earning capabilities and adapting business processes which are ethical, fair and eco-friendly.
