Description :
Merlot red and magenta handwoven sambalpuri cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern for this saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of poetry on the loom. This saree is woven with ikat triangular and circular design all over the body and pallu. Ikat stripe pattern border is woven on the saree.
