Description:
Brown and black handwoven sambalpuri cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern on the saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of "poetry on the loom". This saree has floral-paisley motifs designed on the brown-orange body and black pallu with rudraksha dobby border. This saree comes with matching blouse piece.
