Multi colour handwoven sambalpuri cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern on the saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of poetry on the loom. This saree has beautiful parrot motifs woven on the body with rudraksha dobby border. The peacock design woven on the pallu adds to the beauty of this handloom saree.
